This medallion is quite interesting it is the last pesta sukan to be held in singapore when singapore is still part of the federation of Malaysia.
The closing ceremony 9th AUGUST 1965 is the day when coincidentally the day Singapore separated from Malaysia to be an independent state.
Checking on the internet , LKY was supposed to be at the closing ceremony of the Pesta Sukan and delivered a speech. So this little medallion is pretty significant for singaporeans .
